Borislav Mavrov"s Biography

Borislav Mavrov was born in 1976 in Sofia. He graduated from Second English Language School, Sofia. In 2001 he received MA in History/Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” as his major is in the field of Modern and Contemporary History and more precisely, in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy. In 2004 Borislav Mavrov specialized at the National University of Ireland (Galway) and during the period 2005-2007 participated in the European Commission CLIOHRES International Research Program. In 2007 he received PhD in History/Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He is author of several publications in the field of Nationalism and International Relations.

Before joining the EI Borislav Mavrov was program coordinator at the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Security, International Secretary of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria Political Party (2004-2007) and worked as an adviser in the European Parliament in Brussels (2007).
