The project aims to contribute to capacity building of competent authorities and stakeholders in the field of combating human trafficking, radicalization and extremist propaganda. This will be achieved by awareness-raising; improving the work of the competent authorities; as well as promoting research by pooling resources, knowledge and expertise into a sustainable international Center of Excellence in the security domain.
The objectives will be achieved through training activities; study visits to Germany for the exchange of good practices; developing and presenting analytical articles and establishing a Center of Excellence in the security domain; visibility, transparency and communication activities.
The project will result in strengthening the capacity of competent authorities and other stakeholders. 9 trainings for a total of 270 representatives of the target groups under the 3 modules of the project – human trafficking, radicalization and extremist propaganda will ensure the acquisition of expert knowledge and practical experience in a controlled environment under the guidance of proven professionals with international experience. A total of 6 study visits to Germany will help to acquire know-how on best practices on the topics. In addition to training activities for the exchange of experience, scientific research activities will be encouraged. 8 analytical articles will be developed and disseminated, and the main conclusions and recommendations from them will be discussed in seminars. An omnibus of the articles will also be created. The project will lay the foundations of an international Center of Excellence in the security domain with its associated scientific and virtual infrastructure, which will continue functioning beyond the duration of the project. The project’s outcomes will be presented at an international conference, which will also serve to raise public awareness of the project’s topics.
